It shatters, and glass goes everywhere. Little boy runs away, causes the little birthday girl to cry...
Fast forward 20 years into the future, and it's her birthday again. She's at home by herself, with a cake as well, singing happy birthday. Her parents are busy traveling all over the world.. because they are now the chairman and chairwoman of the largest merry go round producing companies in the world, and want to promote their products at various tourist attractions around the globe. She herself is a legal counsel for the company as her job, but she spends most of her time shopping and eating good food, or at her favorite merry go round that her parents made in her honor.
Her mother calls to set up an arranged meeting with former little boy, who is now a top manager at a huge estates company. She refuses, but eventually gives into just meeting him. He does not remember who she is and leaves before the meeting is over. He tries to make up for it by offering to pay for the meal. Pissed, she charges money on his credit card of over $500 for the dinner, and has the dinner sent to her home.
He refuses to let her get away with this and asks her for money back, but she does not agree. He leaves a bill at her home and she marches to his office to try to talk to him. She also lies to tell her mom the date went well. She is not allowed to speak to the manager at the company because of an awful receptionist who has a thing for the guy, and uses the intercom to announce that his future fiancee is downstairs waiting. He comes down and drags her out of the building, saying that she ruined his chance to seal this deal with his client, yada yada.
